-----------------------------------------------------------------------
From its inception in 1981, Legacy Quartet has maintained its style in the Southern Gospel
tradition. The unique harmony, the joy and spirit in
which they sing, and the songs they have
chosen with much variety, depth, and meaning, create loyal
audiences wherever they perform.
Their goal is that through their singing ministry, people will be uplifted, encouraged, entertained, and most importantly, through the Holy Spirit, brought to a decision to serve Christ.
Legacy's ministry has enabled them to sing in a wide variety of places, including churches, banquets, retreats, athletic events, high schools, colleges, universities, radio and television, municipal auditoriums,
malls, fairs, resorts, Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Army, and many other events.
Legacy is excited and honored to be an associate ministry of Global Connections,
Intl., led by Dr. Jim Groen. Through Dr. Groen's influence, Legacy's first tour of S. Korea was in 1996, and again in 2002, which included
a week with the US Army there. In 2006, they did another tour sponsored by Dr. Billy Kim and Far East
Broadcasting Company, celebrating their 50th anniversary. In 2008, Dr. Billy Kim invited Legacy back for
another tour, and,
as always, has FEBC sponsor them in cities throughout S. Korea. Twice, they have sung in
the world's
largest church with a weekly attendance of 200,000. While in S. Korea, they were honored to meet
John Bradford, Member of Parliament in Australia. They have done 3 tours there, including singing in the Great
Hall of The Parliament, and Promise Keepers. They have a standing invitation to return for another tour. In 2007,
Dr. Jim Groen invited Legacy to accompany him on a tour of Cuba, which was one of the most blessed and
rewarding experiences of their ministry. They have also sung at different times for the Canadian Council of Christian Charities, and for the Charitable fund raising association of the US.
Legacy’s members are: Chris Gaines, tenor, now living in Greeley, Co.; Mitch Rogge, lead, from Henderson, Co.,
now residing in Denver, Co.; Steve Taylor, Baritone, from the Denver area, now residing in Henderson, Co.,
and Norm Huxman, Bass, from Hutchinson, Kansas, now residing in Arvada, Co.
Legacy’s ministry is wholly dedicated to the Lord, and their
future is in His hands.
